Your rehearsal dinner at the Lodge, just the two families and the people who’ve known you longest. Afterward, the doors open and everyone who’s traveled in comes up for a drink under the mountains.
Night Two
The ceremony by the South Arkansas River. Cocktails on the bridge or down at the ponds while the light goes gold. Then the Event Center: dinner, the toasts, the band, and dancing until the last song.
Both Nights, You’re home.

Why Only Eight
When we opened the ranch to weddings, we hosted sixteen a year. Every couple who came through the gate said the same thing: this is the most beautiful place they’d ever seen a wedding. And they were right. The river, the mountains, the light in the evening. It never once disappointed anyone.

But over those years I learned something. The weddings that were pure joy, start to finish, were the ones where we were trusted to run the whole weekend. The few times things got hard, it was always the same story: someone brought in their own planner, or a caterer or bar service we’d never worked with, and pieces started falling through the cracks. Nobody’s fault, really. It’s just that a wedding on a working ranch, two and a half hours from Denver, only comes together when every hand on it knows the place.

Then two weddings changed how I think about all of this. A dear friend asked us to put together her daughter’s wedding here, top to bottom, with everyone staying on the ranch for the weekend. It was flawless. And then we hosted our own daughter’s wedding the same way, and it was the most spectacular weekend of our lives. Both times, we ran everything. Both times, it was perfect.

So that’s what we do now. Eight weddings a year, and we take care of all of it: the planner, the food, the bar, the staff, the flowers, the music, the houses, the shuttles. You bring your photographer, your officiant, your bouquet, and your own liquor, and we handle the rest. I know that means it has to be our way. I promise you it’s the only way this place delivers what you’re picturing right now.

If you want a venue you can rent and run yourself, there are lovely ones out there. If you want a weekend where the only thing you have to do is be present with the people you love, in a place that will take your breath away, this is it.
